International Journalists Delegation Visits PITB

A visiting foreign journalists delegation led by Mr. Christian Zarm President DPV German and Mr. Shams Ul-Haq head of division international relationship accompanied by journalists from Germany, Iran, Afghanistan, India and other countries who recently participated in the international journalists conference, visited the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) here today.
The delegation was briefed about the software development and automation of various services for the citizens across the province of the Punjab, which has simplified the procedures and extended services under one roof. At present 25 plus services including birth, death, marriage, divorce, domicile certificates, business registration, driving license etc were being provided to the citizens within stipulated time with status tracking facility, the delegation was briefed.
It was informed that the digital inclusion in law and order projects have shown sharp decline in terrorism activities and has improved the law and order situation as most of the functions of Punjab Police have been digitalized and data driven crime mapping has proved significantly helpful in prompt decision making while safe city authority was closely working with Punjab police and all the respective systems were now interacting with each other.
They were also apprised regarding health, education, freelancing, eStamping and other digital Punjab initiatives and technological innovations undertaken for digitally inclusive Pakistan. The members of the delegation took keen interest in the technological solutions of various problems.
